Get Involved and Make a Difference
CAMI’s Civic Education Committee is dedicated to providing updates on our local redevelopment and community news. We are always looking for ways to raise awareness and inform the public on important local news and community developments in an unbiased, nonpartisan way. In the past, we’ve hosted several informational gatherings and forums and even led a tour of Merritt Island from the top of a double decker bus at our “See M.I. tour” last year.
Most recent community announcement:
The Health First hospital broke ground last month and is expected to open in early 2027.
If you’re interested in joining our Civic Education Committee and would like to help with our future Civic Roundtable event to connect our local businesses and community leaders together, then reach out to us today! We are always looking for new volunteers!
CAMI’s Beautification Committee is dedicated to enhancing the beauty of Merritt Island. In the past, we’ve participated in several community clean-ups working to improve the outdoor areas of the Merritt Island Library and Tropical Elementary. Our next event will be a flower potting workshop (more details about this will be released soon) and we also hope to organize a ‘Spruce Up’ Merritt Island Day later this year!
