Everything has Beauty

CAMI’s Beautification Committee is dedicated to enhancing the beauty of Merritt Island. In the past, we’ve participated in several community clean-ups working to improve the outdoor areas of the Merritt Island Library and Tropical Elementary. Our next event will be a flower potting workshop (more details about this will be released soon) and we also hope to organize a ‘Spruce Up’ Merritt Island Day later this year!

On CAMI’s Conservation Committee, we work with other nonprofit organizations that are dedicated to improving the environment and raising awareness about the environmental issues that are impacting our community. In the past, we’ve collaborated with Restore Our Shores and participated in an oyster gardening workshop. We also held an informational meeting last year called “Bringing Back Our Blue Lagoon” where we heard professionals from the Marine Resources Council, Save Our Lagoon, and One Lagoon, IRLNEP speak about the health of the Indian River Lagoon.

If you’re interested in joining our Conservation Committee and would like to help with future events, then reach out to us!
